The top of this page was sketched entirely with pencil and prismacolor pencils, no ink at all.
A very painterly look, I think. As I usually did and still do, I outlined a key verse with metallic pen and colored with prismacolor.
As you can see, this is a bible in use, with lots of notes. I will usually use a folded piece of paper as a guide to draw pencil lines in the margin to write my notes.
