The title of Habakkuk in my NIV bible has been reworked using black pen & ink. I just expanded the simple block letters and added curlicues.
For the border I drew waves in a zentangle way, long before there ever were zentangles, using a ballpoint pen and coloring with prismacolor pencils.
When using a monochromatic color range like this in all blues, I usually start with a layer of the darkest color in the areas I want it, then move to progressively lighter colors. I can always come back and layer more color making it more intense.
