Highlighting passages of scripture can be done in many ways. I tend to outline with metallic pen and color the area in with either prismacolor pencils or watercolor.
The top border for this page was sketched in ballpoint pen and then colored in with prismacolor pencils.
I'm sorry for the quality of the photos, I am using my scanner as the images seem better than when I have tried using the camera. I really need a new camera. Please click on the photos to enlarge for better detail.
