I don't get much opportunity to have conversations as I work pretty much alone in my office and don't have a glittering social life. But I am well read and keep up with the happenings of the world.
But apparently I must be rather boring when I do try to engage in conversation.
Nearly every time I have tried to take part in conversations at work this week, or tried to tell a friend something I have been ignored, talked over or interrupted.
It's almost as if I don't exist. Have I moved to another plane of existence and no one bothered to tell me?
Guess I'll go home and talk to my cat, at least he listens.

Sadly I'm realizing that some people only want to hear themself and it's difficult to interject or add to the conversation.. It's always focused on them.. dont know if that is what you are experiencing with your coworkers, but know I've experienced that with some people.. It's not easy, but I try to treat them the opposite way they are treating me... Then I know at least I'm not being a meany!! Best wishes with your situation..

It always happens to me, physically, in stores. People try to walk through me. Not around me....but THROUGH me.
I always think...Egads! I've gone invisible again! lol
That's why we blog....'cause people listen. ;)

I agree with what Debbie said. Maybe it is a symptom of our "techy" world too. It seems more common.
