How To Make a Sandwich

How many of you eat at Subway?  I eat there at least once a week, sometimes more often.
How many of you have noticed that they make their sandwiches backwards?  Or as some say Bass Ackwards?

Going into my favorite location on my Saturday morning thrift shopping trip, I learned a lot.  I have noticed that for some time now Subway has been adding the mayo and/or mustard after they put your meat and cheese on the bread.  Then they stuff all the veggies on that and fold it over.
This annoys me and I always have to quickly ask them to put my mayo on first, and on both sides please.  Then I usually have to endure the silly looks I get from the employee (when they speak enough english to understand) because the Subway picture charts show to put the mayo/mustard on after the the meat and cheese.
I don't know about you, but I was taught to put the mayo on the bread first, then add meat, cheese and veggies on top of that, topped with more bread.
I'm not a chef, but funny enough, last year I saw an episode of Alton Brown of Good Eats (who is a chef) whereby he informed everyone how to create the perfect sandwich and why.  You put the mayo/mustard on the bread to keep the bread from getting soggy!  Who knew?

Anyway, I have sent off a comment to Subway saying what I have said here, only a bit shorter, including mentioning Alton Brown and that it annoys me to have to correct Subway employs from making my sandwich bass ackwards.  Yes, I actually wrote that.
We'll see what they have to say and I'll let you know when I hear back from them.

If you have other ways of making sandwiches, please share, I may learn something new!

How long has that hamster been there? I've seen him before and I think he's just precious!

I'll bet the mayo between the meat and veggies is to help the veggies stick on there. But it is Just Wrong.

I've had the hamster for about a week, he was just too cute. Further down are some goldfish.
I had hamsters as pets growing up, love the little guys.
If you scroll down to the fish, there is lettering in the upper left corner. Click on that and you can go to the website of the guy that made them and he has several other pets too. Way to fun.

Alas, subway has not responded to my letter, not even a form letter. Humph, guess they are too busy building sandwiches the wrong way.
