Remembrance & Thankfulness

"The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war."
- Douglas MacArthur

"We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain; that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom; and that this government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
- Abraham Lincoln

(This pillow has been in my family since WWI in which both my grandfathers served.)

Wonderful, wonderful old pillow, with so many memories in every stitch...love it!

You and I and our strays...I catch a glimpse of my lil' feral soul every once in a while, but another adult cat has come around to share goodies...Scratchy the terrorist terrier is going INSANE...I sure hope she doesn't push the door open, she's famous for that.

Have a safe holiday!
