At last the camera came home and I can show my late TUSAL (totally useless stitch a long). This is just since Jan 1. Mostly it is yarn ends from my garter stitch afghan but the brown stuff is thread I already had to frog from the Christmas SAL St Nicholas. I think this will be a full jar this year.
This is the afghan so far, on the dining room table in the morning sun, good to see the sun again after several cloudy rainy days. It's about 3 feet long now and I still have plenty of yarn to choose from. A nice mindless project to work on while I sit in my chair of an evening listening to the radio talk shows. Mostly I need that after a long day of work.
This is how much I have done on St Nicholas, just part of his beard. I only started a week ago and it is very time consuming. I had not worked on linen before, nor on this 32 count size. I am so used to aida cloth, this is a challenge not to miscount the threads. As I said, I already had to frog (rip out) some of it and do it over. This project is is my Christmas SAL I joined over at yoyo's blog http://dragonmyneedle.blogspot.com/ . Everyone pretty much has a different project, but they are all Christmas themed. Today I am canning again, I made a huge pot of bean and ham soup yesterday so I could can it for use later. Of course we are eating some today too. It;s better than Campbells! I don't say that lightly because Campbell's bean with bacon was always my favorite. Better run for now, lots to do today.
